I'm Steve Ford — a Navy veteran and lifelong builder. These days I help small businesses put AI to work, run a vintage resale shop, and write software for other sellers. But the center of it all is my faith and my family.
A little about me
I served in the U.S. Navy, and the habits it gave me — show up, do the work, take care of your people — never really left. Today I live in Middle Tennessee with my family, and I spend my days building things that give people back their most limited resource: time.
That takes a few shapes. Through Volunteer AI I help local small businesses actually put artificial intelligence to work — starting with an AI receptionist that answers every call. Through Found by Ford my wife and I turn estate-sale finds into curated vintage treasures. And with Skorrd I build the software I wished I had as a reseller.
I'm one person doing a lot of it — and I like it that way. It keeps me close to the work, close to the people I serve, and honest about what actually matters.
What grounds me
Everything else is built around them. When I'm not working, you'll find me at church or with the people I love most.
I serve as a deacon at The Glade Church and teach the middle-school class — which, if you've ever taught middle schoolers, you know keeps a man humble and on his toes. Serving here is the most important work I do all week.
My family is the reason for everything I build. They keep me steady, remind me what all the work is for, and make Middle Tennessee feel like home. Everything on this page is really about being able to show up for them.
